Martial Arts & Crafts
Our Program
Grail Homeschoolers meet Wednesday mornings from 9:00–11:00 AM. Parents are welcome to arrive late / leave early. We understand that families need to be flexible. We also allow for class cards for families who ONLY want to attend the martial arts classes.
Homeschool Morning sessions include:
Supervised Open Play
Children will have time for unstructured play and exploration in our open, matted space.
Arts & Crafts
Hands-on creative activities designed to encourage imagination, self-expression, and the joy of making. Different types of media will be introduced.
Martial Arts
A fun, active class combining calisthenics, tumbling, and fundamental Jiu Jitsu & Kickboxing skills. This program helps develop strength, coordination, body awareness, and confidence.

Are you concerned that you are unqualified to teach your children?
Nothing could be further from the truth. Parents are the first teachers. Nobody loves your child more than you and no one can provide more for them than you can. There are also tons of resources online and organized curriculum to help you navigate teaching specific subjects.
Are you concerned that your child will be behind their peers?
Research increasingly supports the opposite is true. Homeschoolers do extremely well on standardized testing and more importantly with critical thinking, innovation & discernment.
Are you concerned that you will have to shoulder all of the responsibility of the paperwork?
Writing an IHIP and submitting quarterly reports can seem daunting. We have a lot of experience with these and will have dedicated days for parents to work on submitting their reports.
Are you afraid that your children will not be prepared for higher education?
Homeschoolers are absolutely prepared (if not more prepared) for higher education. Many studies cite that homeschoolers score better on standardized testing. Additionally, we’ve navigated middle & high school IHIP reports as well as college applications and financial aid.
Are you overwhelmed by the thought of it all?
Like anything worth doing, there will be challenges! Take a deep breath. If it really is not working, you can always enroll your children into public school. They will not turn you away. If you really want to create something magical, you can absolutely start this journey – especially with a few great allies, like those who have done it and succeeded.
Unstructured Play
Every day will offer supervised, unstructured play on our soft training mats. Children will have access to soft materials to build, create, climb and run within the group. While children get to make connections with other kids, parents will have time to relax and connect with other parents.
Fundamental Martial Arts Skills
Children will be able to participate in a thirty – minute Martial Arts class that includes fundamental Jiu Jitsu & striking skills. This is geared for children ages 3 and up.
Art & Enrichment
Every day we will have an arts & crafts station where children will have time to get their hands dirty and create works of art using various mediums such as crayons, markers, paint and 2D crafts. Different types of projects and themes will be added to each trimester.
